Reap and Rush Beginner Tips
Beginners lose runs to identity splitting and to systems the store page never named. After launch, Soul Crystal sealing, Tributes, Headwind Express, and continue-saves matter as much as raw kiting.
Commit before you hoard
Take a Fate Stone identity by mid-run. Skip Awakened stones that your envoy cannot actually awaken—Little Calf drops once handed out Earthwork Order and Thunder-Throwing Imp awakenings that could not awaken. Patches removed some of those drops; the lesson remains: if the Archive cannot seal it, do not build your night around it.

Money is a bomb
August 12 fixed a freeze when money exceeded 2,147,483,648 and turned negative, which also broke the Five Emperors’ Coins tribute and Rusty Treasure Chest / Abacus flow. You will not hit that as a beginner, but it tells you the economy is integer-fragile. Do not farm infinite HP tribute combos; 1.0.2 removed some of those.
Continue is not New Game
Several fixes only apply if you start a new run (Langya Stele / Langya Carved Stone fusion). Bingyi continue-saves could eat the first Fate Stone on a shield-restore stone. Pets might not appear until you visit Spirit Beast Cafe. If something feels haunted, Repair Save Data, then new run.
Read UI, then fight
ESC in combat used to eat the cursor. Dialogue with Primordial Emperor · Ancestral Dragon could lock the menu. Templates could not activate on mouse. Those are patched, but if you are on an older depot, update first—your “skill issue” might be 1.0.0.
Pair this with combat basics and currency.
