Reap and Rush Demo vs Full
The Steam demo (app 3218650, dated 31 May 2025 on the store, with later 0.906 notes) is a different product from the 21 July 2026 full game. Official Q&A three days before launch: demo saves do not transfer. The team said the full client had been iterated too far.

What the last demo actually changed
V0.906 (8 June 2026) was billed as the final major demo overhaul before Steam Bullet Fest polish. Ah Cong stepped back so the main plot could move; Black Wuchang took the lead as a pure mowing underworld envoy. The same note added teleport in base, Headwind Express quality-of-life, mid-run save, and post-process sliders.
Older Rest in Peace demo notes (25 July 2025) added White Raven and Burning Crow, Novice/Normal/Hard, and nine demo achievements. The full app listed 99 Steam achievements in launch-window API checks; the demo listed 40. Do not map demo badges onto the 1.0 overlay.
Should you still download it?
Only to feel the art and dash. Nothing you seal, buy, or code in the demo is promised in the full Book of Life and Death. After purchase, start on the current 1.0 depot, bind Interact and Support Chest Drop, and ignore Continue saves that predate Repair Save Data (28 July).
